Ximena + Marshall

Hi Friends!!
Meeting Ximena and Marshal for the first time over coffee, Kim and I immediately feel in love with them. They are truly the kindest, welcoming, enthusiastic, thoughtful, happy in love couples we have. ever. met. So, when they invited us to travel across the country to Austin, TX with them, we about jumped out our seats, and even though it was over a year away, it was difficult for me not to purchase our plane tickets right away.
Having gotten to know them, it comes to no surprise that over 100 people came by air to Austin to celebrate their union. It didn’t take long for everyone, us included, to understand why Ximena and Marshal insisted on having their wedding at the beautiful Hummingbird House just outside of the city. It comes to no surprise, therefore, that their friends and families are a tight little bunch, with a whole lot of love flowing through. Both families have embraced each other and each other’s cultures, and, simply put, it is just a beautiful thing to see. Naturally, their wedding was a sweet celebration of their relationship, with many opportunities for us to brush up on our Spanish, and included lots of dancing! Ximena put so much care into making every detail of their wedding just perfect, incorporating different time periods and travel experiences. We were honestly blown away by every single detail. Hopefully our pictures will do more of the talking.
But, even after every amazing detail, two incredibly sweet families who made us feel right at home the whole weekend, a magical combination of emotion and stunning location, the best part was getting to spend the day with Ximena and Marshal. Ximena is so beautiful, she looks like a doll that I just wanted to photograph all day long! And we were always waiting for what Marshal had to say next, as he was hilarious.
After it was all said and done, and the couple said good bye to their friends and family, we got to have some extra bonus time with them photoing them around the gorgeous Driskill Hotel. (i dont believe in ghosts, but i would swear that place was haunted). But, haunted or not, it made for some ahhhhmazing photos!!

Ximena and Marshal, we just love you guys. There, I said it. I hope it isn’t awkward that we said it first. Thank you, thank you, for allowing us to be a part of capturing your amazing journey together. The day, the wedding, you guys, were just the highlight of our 2012.

Much much joy to you both!!!!
Alea

I do need to share my sincere apologies for this post because it will be the biggest wedding day post we have ever made in 6 years. But, hey, isn’t the saying, everything is bigger in Texas!?!

Good job Cheri! the wedding pictures are beautiful. I really liked the flower arrangements and all. The party after seemed like quite a lot of fun too. Cheers!
