Hi Friends!
I’m writing this blog with a little sand in between my toes and the sounds of glee from my four little ladies as we ventured down to St. Simons for some adventures this weekend. Much needed down time, a little bit of work time too, but just a great next few days ahead.

This summer has certainly been a whirlwind, I’ll admit one of the hardest parts about that is spending the day with a couple, shooting their wedding, loving the photos, but then putting their photos away and being patient until its their turn in the post processing. Which is really hard to do because we are so excited but we are having to put that excitement on hold. That said, it is also awesome to get to that wedding and reliving it for ourselves, and trying to vision how the bride and groom will be able to see it as we did is pretty extraordinary.

So finally getting to Rachel and Dennis’ wedding, I felt like I oooo’ed and ahhhhh’ed the whole way. I loved every single second of this day, there were so many unique special touches and moments. from the bride and grooms first meet, to exchanging their gifts, to their awesome wedding party with bhldn bridesmaids dresses with custom created by the bride jeweled belts, to the groomsmen’s grey suits and each having their own patterned navy ties. I loved that they wrote cards and gave gifts to each of their parents. Their beautiful church and service and all their amazing details at the reception at the Georgian Terrace designed by a dear friend accompanied by florals from the amazing tulip. But even after all that, my favorite detail from the day was by far Rachel’s Temperly London gown from one of my favorite boutiques Kelly’s Closet. It was absolutely breathtaking and was perfect for Rachel and her style. She definitely rocked it and to watch Dennis’ expression when he saw her for the first time was for lack of a better word was priceless. Just all and all a wonderful day from start to finish.

Rachel and Dennis, we had such a wonderful time sharing in your beautiful day! It was a celebration full of love, laughter, family and friends. With gorgeous details, a relaxed vibe (a tad sprinkle of rain!) and two beautiful souls – it was such a joy to share in!
