Hi Friends, 

Today has been a swell of emotions with some wonderful things happening around our studio walls along with some heavy prayers for some dear friends. I am always amazed at life and its ups and downs its swings and curves. 

I follow a few people on instagram, and today one of my instagram friends posted about renown Scottish painter, who created a beautiful charcoal landscape painting on a wall of a mansion incorporating the stain from a spill of one of the servants. making something beautiful of a mess. My friend’s words resonated with me as she reminded me how humbling it is to think that God works in much the same way in our lives. “the things that we think of as a weakness, as a mess, that through His grace become our greatest strengths– and the very things He uses the most to bring glory to Himself.” God’s grace provides the strength to meet every challenge and overcome every weakness, and making something beautiful out of me, out of my mess. 

This sweet family can testify to this, as they endured the ups and downs and curves of life’s mess. And will shout out what a beautiful miracle they were given in the daughter Emily. Who they call their rainbow baby. Because out of the rain, even with the littlest of sunshine, it can create the most beautiful of rainbows. That sunshine can show up in joy, in love, in hope, in prayer, in grace.. 

“and He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. most gladly therefore will i rather glory in my infirmities. that the power of Christ may rest upon me. therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake:for when I am weak, then am i strong. 2: corinthians 12:9-10

Allen Family! I am so excited for you three. So thankful to have met your sweet rainbow baby. She is beautiful and I can see your joy radiate from your faces. So thankful to have been able to  capture such a precious time for your family. thank you!
